Tapestry is a hybrid Classical Christian Academy, a timeless curriculum reimagined with intentional flexibility for students 4-12 years old.
Who We Are
Tapestry Classical Academy was founded to address three needs: an education marked by academic rigor, a faith that is intellectually rich and deeply rooted, and a cultural formation that fosters virtue in an age of distraction.
We exist to recover a love of learning, to equip students with clarity and conviction, and to shape not only how they think, but what they love — and who they are becoming.
We see education not as mere fact-gathering, but as a meaningful quest to equip students with the tools to grasp and defend truth throughout their lives.
Mission: To equip students to know, love, and practice what is good, true, and beautiful, gathering up their whole nature in the worship of God, to live purposefully and intelligently in service of their neighbors and the global community.
“We want to ignite young hearts with curiosity and reverence for the Creator, fostering a deepening relationship with Him. Tapestry Classical Academy will weave values of faith, integrity, and compassion into the fabric of learning. The classical approach aims to serve all students, fostering a community rooted in humility and rejecting the seeds of pride.”
- Sarah & Nick, Founding Family
What is Classical Education?
Classical education is another term for Liberal Arts. The Liberal Arts go well beyond our commonplace understanding of a basic college degree, and focus on teaching students how to think, and not just what to think (with an emphasis on virtue and wisdom). Teaching starts with what is concrete and moves them to the abstract, which takes advantage of a student's natural capacity to learn based on how we are designed. Classical education trains students to seek out truth, beauty, and goodness — which for us is ultimately found in Jesus.
The Trivium (three paths) and the Quadrivium (four paths) comprise the foundation of all learning. The Trivium focuses on the art (skill) of words and the Quadrivium the art (skill) of numbers. An individual who has mastery of words and mastery of numbers is prepared for lifelong learning. It is precisely this kind of education that has produced countless leaders, inventors, artists, and theologians throughout history.
For ease of reference the link below is to The Manhattan Institute Policy white paper on classical education published with the US Department of Education which substantiates its history, differentiating features and success as an alternative educational model.
The 3-2 Hybrid Model
We concentrate education into three core days. Instruction in core fields of study are given Tuesday through Thursday with dedicated Tapestry Teachers at the school (i.e., “Drop off” program). Parents can choose Monday or Friday for a "practice or prepare day." During this time students practice what they've learned or prepare through reading (once a student is reading) for the next school day.
This flexibility is designed to empower families to adventure and learn together in younger years while instilling a foundation of academic rigor and excellence. We encourage families to leverage the hybrid program to enroll in extra circular activities or capitalize on extra family time.
Founding
Families
We're not here to follow trends—we're here to build something timeless, for our children today and those that come after. Building a premier educational program requires families that lead and serve their community. We are looking for a blend of strategy, creativity, and heart.

Tapestry Classical Academy seeks to cultivate wisdom, truth, and a thoughtful faith — students who think well, worship fully, love rightly, and live wisely, for the glory of God and the good of their communities.Teacher-led classrooms, engaged families and a knowledge-rich curriculum are central to our students’ formation. We believe through intentional tutelage, students acquire foundational knowledge and grow in their capacity to reason, discern, and delight in what is true, good, and beautiful.
Tapestry Classical Academy’s core values are rooted in the concept of worship — the submission of all of our nature to God — to educate students to engage the world with clarity, conviction, and grace. This is illustrated in our school logo:
DUCTUS: Leadership
VERITAS: Truth
SAPIENTIA: Wisdom
ADORATIO: Worship
All of these for the Glory of God - SOLI DEO GLORIA.
“Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God. It is the quickening of the conscience by his holiness; the nourishment of mind with his truth; the purifying of imagination by his beauty; the opening of the heart to his love; the surrender of will to his purpose--all this gathered up in adoration, the most selfless emotion of which our nature is capable.” - William Temple

Tapestry Classical Academy is unapologetically Christ-centered, but you do not have to be Christian to enroll. We are intentionally welcoming. Irrespective of your faith, we expect attending families and their students to respect the Classical Christian education framework, support the pursuit of truth and virtue, and honor the formation of character and faith.
-
Many of our students do not have a background in classical education before enrolling. We use academic testing and family interviews to assess a student’s learning level and ensure they are placed in the most fitting classes. Furthermore, students are supported with training and instruction in foundational skills and knowledge. Those students who enthusiastically desire to learn and grow and who have supportive family settings to help them navigate this new experience will find the most success at Tapestry Classical Academy.

Founding families are leaders within the community that want to help build and launch Tapestry ahead of 27’-28’ school year. Founding families are those who have applied and been accepted as families, not just as individual students, and are working with us to bring Tapestry visions to reality. Founding families will contribute skills and time ranging from: hiring, mission and vision statement formation, location identification, security, fundraising, and much more. Founding cohort refers to those students and their families that are committing to attending and building Tapestry as participants starting 27’-28’ school year.

Our founding families are actively scouting a location. We intend to be in an area to generally serve Folsom, Granite Bay, and El Dorado Hills communities. If you have a location idea or proposal, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us at Admin@tapestryclassical.org.
-
Tuition will be posted once we have confirmed location, staff, sponsorship, and donations for 27’-28’ academic year. We intend to offer scholarships to students, to be determined on fundraising outcomes.

We are fundraising for academic year 27’-28’ and will be an established 501(c(3) entity shortly.

Tapestry Classical Academy intends to serve students age 4-12, but we hope to offer a secondary program in the future.
Years served for our initial 27-28’ launch year will be based on interest and faculty. We recognize that education is not a one-size-fits-all journey. Rather than following a traditional age-grade model, our students are part of learning cohorts—small, multi-age groups of students who progress together based on skill, mastery, and developmental readiness. This model allows us to cultivate a rich learning environment where each child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish at his or her own pace.
